Biography
Xiang (Jenny) Ren is an assistant professor in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston.
Ren’s work focuses on how to build better performance and reliability into system software, and on the tools that could help developers achieve those goals. Her work has appeared in such conferences as OSDI, SOSP, FAST, and FSE. Upon joining Northeastern University in 2025, Ren will teach courses in computer systems, and looks forward to carrying out innovative research with motivated students.
In her spare time, Ren enjoys photography, aviation, and good food.
