Minor in Cybersecurity
The cybersecurity minor builds the practical and conceptual skills needed to make digital systems more reliable and secure. You’ll gain proficiency through six cybersecurity fundamental courses; no programming background needed. This program is new for fall 2026.

Build your foundation
You’ll start by taking computer science courses with Khoury College majors and nonmajors alike, developing your knowledge base while getting to know Khoury College’s diverse community. Once you complete your foundational classes, you’ll have opportunities to choose electives based on your interests and goals.

Abhi Shelat
Abhi Shelat is a professor at Khoury College specializing in cryptography and applied security. A recipient of awards from the NSF, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and the ACM, he uses secure computation protocols to enable mutually distrusting parties, each with private inputs, to jointly compute functions while ensuring maximal privacy and correctness.
