Cybersecurity and privacy

(access control, multi-agent systems, IoT, social networks)

Addresses both the technical and policy dimensions of security — spanning access control models, IoT vulnerabilities, and the design of systems that treat security as a dynamic, evolving challenge rather than a fixed one.

In addition, the Arlington campus is a leader in the research of the convergence of AI and cybersecurity.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning

Explores AI architectures, machine learning models, and intelligent adaptive systems — examining how these technologies are built and how they perform in real-world contexts like disaster management and mobile health.
